BACC held a discussion on Baltic States - US Economic Relations with the New U.S. Administration
On February 25th, 2021 the Baltic American Chamber of Commerce (BACC) held a discussion on Baltic States - US Economic Relations with the New U.S. Administration. Speakers Ms. Dalia Kreiviene, Director of External Economic Relations and Economic Security Policy Department of the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Juris Štālmeistars, Director General of the Economic Relations, Trade and Development Cooperation Directorate of the Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Mr. Jüri Seilenthal, Director General at the Department of External Economic and Development Cooperation of the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs introduced their country’s foreign economic policies in relation to the U.S.
The conversation explored the Baltic States-US economic and trade agenda. Baltic States leaders in external economic relations and development cooperation discussed what does the U.S. – Baltic States trade look like today and in the upcoming year? Will economic relations change in the Biden Administration? What initiatives have Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania for business to foster trades and economic relations between the U.S. and Baltic States, and help Baltic business be more prosperous in the U.S.
The event was joined by 62 participants raging from Government officials, business leaders, lawyers, not for profit executives and advocates.
The discussion was moderated by Jonathan Wachtel, Global Affairs Analyst and former Senior Policy Advisory at U.S. Mission to United Nations, and International Journalist.
The event was organized in cooperation with Consulate General of Estonia in New York, Consulate General of Lithuania in New York and Investment and Development Agency of Latvia in the U.S.
