Strengthening Economic Diplomacy is One of Lithuania’s Priorities

On March 2nd, 2021, Inga Klimasauskiene, representative of the Baltic American Chamber of Commerce (BACC) and a Vice-Chairman of Business Affairs for the Executive Board of the American Lithuanian Business Community, led the discussion with: Dalia Asanavičiūtė, Member of Parliament of the Republic of Lithuania and Chair of the Commission of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania and the Lithuanian World Community; and Jonas Bružas, Co-chairman of the Commission of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania and the Lithuanian World Community.

Speakers discussed the plans of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania and the Lithuanian World Community related to the activities of Lithuanians in the U.S. - what plans there are to strengthen cooperation between the Lithuanian community and professionals in Lithuania and the U.S.

Ms. Asanavičiūtė noted that one of the main focuses of the current Government is the strengthening of economic diplomacy, which includes the development of exports, the development of further foreign investment, and the integration of business professionals from Lithuania and the World Community. Mr. Bružas is optimistic about the implementation of the goal "Lithuanian Businesses Without Borders," which is one of many goals on the agenda of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania and of the Commission of the World Lithuanian Community. The meeting attracted a crowd of over 60 participants.
