Navigating U.S. Business Immigration – April 2nd, 2025
On April 2nd, 2025, the Baltic American Chamber of Commerce (BACC) hosted an insightful and informative event titled “Navigating U.S. Business Immigration: From Current Visas to the Possible Gold Card Visa.” The event was held both in-person at the prestigious Rockefeller Center in New York City, and streamed online, providing attendees with the opportunity to join from anywhere in the world and gain the latest insights on U.S. immigration policies.
Our distinguished presenter, Margaret A. Zawadzka, Principal, Attorney & Counsellor at Law at mazlegal, guided attendees through a comprehensive journey on U.S. business visas, green cards, and the immigration processes relevant to business owners and entrepreneurs. Margaret also addressed current concerns about international travel safety, an important topic for the global business community today.
A special highlight of the event was the inspiring story shared by our guest speaker, Mr. Armel Joly, owner of the popular French restaurant O’Cabanon in Manhattan. Armel shared how professional assistance from Margaret helped him navigate the complex immigration process, ultimately leading him to successfully build his business in the U.S. by choosing the right immigration path and ensuring proper documentation.
The event, which was a collaborative effort with the Polish-American Business Club (PABC), was designed specifically for Baltic (Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania) and Polish business owners, although we were pleased to have attendees from across the globe, broadening the scope to discuss international aspects of U.S. immigration.
Thanks to the virtual format, people from outside the U.S. were able to join the discussion and get valuable insights on how U.S. immigration policies are evolving, ensuring that everyone had the chance to stay informed on this critical topic.
A special thank you goes to mazlegal for providing such an exceptional venue at the iconic Rockefeller Center, offering stunning views of the city. We’d also like to thank O’Cabanon for treating us to a delightful selection of French delicacies, which added to the event's overall success.
We appreciate all our guests for attending and contributing to the rich discussions. It was an invaluable opportunity to connect, learn, and network. We look forward to hosting more events in the future!
