BACC members and friends flooded to hear Baltic Ambassadors to the U.S. about the current situation in Ukraine
On March 1st, 2022, the Baltic American Chamber of Commerce (BACC) held an Ambassadorial Briefing on the situation in Ukraine. Ambassadors from the three Baltic States - Estonian Ambassador to the US Mr. Kristjan Prikk; Latvian Ambassador to the US Mr. Māris Selga; and Lithuanian Ambassador to the US Ms. Audra Plepytė - gave their countries' viewpoints on what is currently occurring in Ukraine. They discussed and answered questions about how their countries are strategizing to handle whatever comes next; about how important it is for our communities to hear credible information regarding what is taking place in Eastern Europe; and about the potential effect of the Baltics' current strategies on the entire world.
The event attracted over 220 attendees, and questions flooded in before and during the event. This shows the concern that so many people have about the events in Ukraine, their desire to understand them, and the significant effects that so many people feel these events will have on their lives.
The event was moderated by Elliot Matz, a Board Member of BACC.
BACC is a not-for-profit organization based in New York, that connects people from both sides of the Atlantic (the US and the Baltic States) to promote and enhance relationships between business organizations, as well government leaders, to advance economic development of the US and the Baltic States - Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
