How To Navigate Uncertainty in the US Business Environment

On October 12, 2018 a panel discussion on “Borders vs. Barriers: Navigating Uncertainty in the US Business Environment” was held with Meredith M. Broadbent, Commissioner, United States International Trade Commission, Kevin Kajiwara, Co-President, Teneo Intelligence, and Jon Shames, Global Leader - Geostrategic Business Group, EY, and moderated by Morgan Ortagus, Senior Advisor - Geostrategic Business Group, EY. The discussion revisited three future geopolitical scenarios (Isolationism, Internationalism, and Atlanticism), examined by the EY Geogstrategic Business Group on recently released whitepaper “Borders vs Barriers” . The goal of the discussion was to highlight and to help business leaders to navigate uncertainty in the US business environment, assess risks facing business – public policy, supply chain, investment behavior and reputation, and to advise how they can prepare for a variety of future scenarios. The discussion was organized by the European American Chamber of Commerce New York (EACCNY).
