Inga Klimasauskiene, the Principal of BACC and Angela Kavak, the President of Food Depot International (FDI) and Director of Lithuanian Business Counsil Agreed to Collaborate

On December 8th, 2017 Inga Klimasauskiene, the Principal of the Baltic American Chamber of Commerce (BACC) and Angela Kavak, the President of Food Depot International (FDI) and one of the Directors of the Board of the Lithuanian Business Council, met in Charleston, South Carolina where they discussed possibilities for collaboration.  Ms. Kavak is also a Lithuanian World Community representative responsible for economic affairs.

Inga Klimasauskiene pointed out that the BACC consistently receives inquiries from Baltic States companies and entrepreneurs that are looking for business opportunities and expansion in the US.  Angela Kavak, the President of FDI, emphasized that FDI is an importer and B2B distributor of fine foods and beverages, operating for about 20 years in this market, with a diverse portfolio from around the world, including from the Baltic States. The parties agreed to collaborate on assisting food producers from the Baltic States to penetrate the US market.

In addition, Inga Klimasauskiene and Angela Kavak confirmed their intentions to revive activity of the Lithuanian Business Council, a not-for-profit corporation incorporated in Chicago.  Both organizations have missions to promote relationships among Lithuanian and US communities, business drivers and professional organizations. Inga Klimasauskiene highly appreciated the confidence Ms. Kavak placed in the BACC, and affirmed that the BACC s is eagerly looking forward to working together in assisting Lithuanian and American professionals in sharing knowledge and values, with the aim of initiating activities that promote education, business and networking opportunities.
