BACC Member Alicea Castellanos, CEO and Founder of Global Taxes LLC gave a seminar in Vilnius, Lithuania

On September 12th, 2023 the Baltic American Chamber of Commerce (BACC) member Alicea Castellanos, CEO and Founder of Global Taxes LLC, gave a seminar for Vilnius Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts members in Vilnius, Lithuania. Ms. Castellanos reviewed U.S. business structures, including what taxes company should pay when they do business with the US; are there are tax exempt initiatives (like for example Florida has), what is a most favorable State in terms of taxes; what is the difference in terms of taxes if I do businesses through the US company versus Lithuanian company directly (should I always have a legal entity established in the US, or can I sell directly through Lithuanian company not having the US entity?); how to set up the US entity, how long it will take, how much it will cost (here you can explain that you don’t need to be physically in the US as to establish a company in the US; you don’t need to hire an Attorney in the US, it can be done by CPA / company like yours); how to open a bank account in the US if you are not a resident or in presence in the US (again, that companies like yours can open a bank account remotely).
