The Baltic American Chamber of Commerce (BACC) sumptuously celebrated the One Hundredth Anniversary of the Restoration of Lithuanian Independence
On February 16th, 2018 the Baltic American Chamber of Commerce (BACC) sumptuously celebrated the One Hundredth Anniversary of the Restoration of Lithuanian Independence in New York. The commemoration was held at the historic JW Marriott Essex House New York Grand Salon. The event was celebrated by nearly 300 distinguished guests including key political figures Rolandas Kriščiūnas, Lithuania Ambassador of the United States and Julius Pranevičius, Consul General of Lithuania in New York. BACC guests Kairi Künka, Consul General of Estonia in New York, Daris G. Delins, Honorary Consul of Latvia in New York together with BACC Board Directors, members and partners joined in honoring this historically significant event.
The attendees savored an appetizing dinner along with impressive artistic program accompanied by a capella Tolimi Aidai, a Los Angeles based Lithuanian men’s singing ensemble.
February 16th is a significant day for every Lithuanian. 100 years ago, on February 16th, 1918, Lithuania signed the Act of Independence proclaiming the restoration of an independent State of Lithuania. A centenary of the restoration of Lithuania will be celebrated throughout 2018 and in various countries around the world. BACC invites all to participate in this worldwide anniversary celebration.
