NALB Forum Blasted This Year Again

On Wednesday and Thursday, March 6th and 7th, 2024 the annual North American Lithuanian Business Forum (NALB Forum) was successfully held in New York City. Over 230 participants attended, representing  businesses, government economic development entities, not-for-profit consultants and business development entities, all from Lithuania, the US, and Canada.  The Forum, held at several locations in Manhattan and on Roosevelt Island, was “sold out.”

The Forum was organized and funded by a number of organizations, including  the Baltic American Chamber of Commerce (BACC).

The program included presentations and workshops on various aspects of conducting profitable and innovative business between the nations, including making investments in both directions across the Atlantic, and addressing many concerns regarding today’s worldwide political situations, local business incentives and challenges and many other aspects of setting strategies for successful international commerce operations.

Guests were welcomed at an evening networking event the day before the conference at one of Manhattan’s rooftop bars with a special guest, a GRAMMY winning and 2X GRAMMY-nominated jazz singer-songwriter of Lithuanian descent, Nicole Zuraitis. She is a pianist and arranger, a New York-based bandleader, and a winner of the prestigious 2021 American Traditions Vocal Competition Gold Medal.

The main conference followed on the next day, March 7th, at the prestigious Cornell Tech campus in New York City - a beacon of innovation and technology.

There was an address to the attendees by the President of Lithuania, Gitanas Nausėda. Jovita Neliupšienė, Ambassador of the EU to the US, and Edward Mermelstein, Commissioner, NYC Mayor’s Office for International Affairs, welcomed attendees at the venue. A keynote speaker was Jonas Karklys, co-founder of Nord Security, a Lithuanian unicorn backed by the US private equity firm Warburg Pincus.

Speakers also included representatives from New York State and New York City economic development offices, economic and business experts from Lithuania, the US, and Canada in various aspects of conducting international business, economic diplomacy, the investment environment, and more. BACC members took an active part at the event, and enjoyed numerous opportunities for networking with business owners and entrepreneurs, science and politics. Reviews from participants were overwhelmingly positive.

The Baltic American Chamber of Commerce (BACC) is a New York-based not for profit organization which helps its members to build and strengthen economic and business corridors between the US and Baltic States (Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania). We actively promote trade and investment through bespoke events, programs and platforms, and support initiatives which enhance economic development and business growth.
