What is 43North?

43North is a New York startup competition that invests $5 million annually to attract and cultivate high-growth startups.  43North is made possible by Governor Cuomo’s Buffalo Billion initiative with support from the New York Power Authority and corporate sponsors.  The grand prize winner receives $1 million.  43North had non-US winners from Israel, Taiwan, and many from Canada (including a grand prize winner from Canada).  All the winners receive incubator space in Buffalo for one year, access to other New York incentive programs, and mentoring.  The 2015 winner recently received $93 million in Series D funding and now has hundreds of employees.  You can learn more about the competition here: https://www.43north.org/.
